Thorpe Park Fright Nights 2022 Construction Work Begins

Thorpe Park
Sunday 7th August 2022

Fright Nights 2022 is just around the corner, and it would appear that work has begun around the park to prepare for this year's Halloween event.

Starting in Old Town, signs for Creek Freak Massacre can be seen sitting at the exit of the maze. With the entrance for the maze possibly relocated due to Project Exodus and the area being a construction site we should see a new temporary entrance archway installed over the logger's trough on the lefthand side of the building.

Although nothing has been confirmed for this year's event we think we might have guessed the location of a new maze! Located next to Trailers is a huge piece of space often referred to as the Dock Yard compound. Over the past few months, this area has been full of tables, old theming and a bit of a dumping ground. This area appears to have been cleaned up with lots of theming and items moved or chucked away. Our best guess is that we could see shipping containers installed in this space. With Platform 15 now gone, the park needs to replace it with something big and new!

We would love to see the Saw Alive queue line removed and the Crows of Mawkin Meadow expanded into this space, however, we doubt this is going to happen. The other thing we think might be plausible is Containment getting some major work done to it where you could maybe control parts of Fright Nights around the park as part of a paid upcharge experience. One of the doors of containment looks to have been wedged open recently...

The only clues we've had about Fright Nights 2022 so far have been the red tarot cards used in Carnival. The fright nights key and "The Eye" both have a red background unlike all of the other cards in the tarot card deck. Could "The Eye" be a hint at a new maze theme or just the park trying to hype us up?
