Hyperia Inversion Tower Continues To Grow

Thorpe Park
Saturday 2nd December 2023

Work on Hyperia continues to grow at a rapid rate, since our last look at the construction site just over a week ago so much has happened.

The track for the splash-down section of the rollercoaster has been installed, and the track leading into the break run has been completed. The final 15 seconds of the ride looks insane and we can't wait to ride it very soon.

Work on building the tower for the inversion and also continues to rise into the Thorpe Park skyline. Viewing it from across the lake it won't be long until it breaks into the skyline and the skyline of the park changes more. Walking across the bridge into the park last night for the Night With Imascrore event the view doesn't look very different however more track is visible from the bridge now.

During our visit down Monks Walk we watched the construction crews try to lift a complicated support into place. Where they had to remove sections of support in order to get support with over 5 connections. It's not every day you can say you watched a rollercoaster grow and also see parts of it be removed.

Across the rest of the site, the station is now almost fully enclosed, and pipes for cables for breakrun have been installed. And peering through the trees the old Loggers Leap track can still be seen. Inside the maintenance shed, platforms to access the trains have been installed on both sides. But there's still no track down the middle of the shed. With the length of the shed being so long, we think that it could easily hold two trains.

On another note, we've never seen monks walk so busy! It's fantastic to see so many people excited for Hyperia.
