Hyperia is about to start towering over the Thorpe Park skyline even more! Work on the structure that will support part of the loop and inversion has started to go vertical. Located outside the station on the front left, this new tower is hard to photograph in its current state but over the next few weeks as the construction of the rollercoaster progresses it will look amazing! Work on enclosing the station has also begun, soon we won't be able to see into the construction site much.
Around the rest of the site, we managed to witness some supports being crained in this afternoon. More supports have been installed during our last visit. Despite that only being 3 days ago! Work on foundations at the front of the station building where being poured during our short visit down Monks Walk today. It would also appear that work on the foundations for the splash-down section is still in progress.
When the concrete trucks moved out of the way to replace empty trucks, we spotted a glimpse of more supports sitting on the side waiting to be installed over the next few days. Looking back 12 months ago, this area is totally unrecognisable!
